Ammar Ali Pardawalla, the sous chef of Comptoir 102, Dubai, got me inspired to write a "green article" when I was talking to him the other day about chlorophyll.
... dark leaf greens as spinach, chard, rucola, wheat-grass, sprouts, sea weeds like chlorella and spirulina etc.
These are all loaded with nutrient and the naturally occurring chlorophyll; "the green blood of plants" that gives the plants their green color.
Chlorophyll resembles our red blood cells, known as hemoglobin; the pigment that gives our blood cells the red color and it's oxygen-carrying capacity.
It has a high content of magnesium.
Many people today don't get enough servings of vegetables today, they are missing out many important and necessary nutrients and benefits for a healthy and happy lifestyle.. For example it;
Does it matters which ones and how you eat your greens?
Raw, organic, naturally-grown vegetables is more rich in nutrition than conventional ones. When sun-ripened they are rich in light energy, generally the sunlight food the more nutritious it is.
But - if you can't obtain organic grown vegetables, conventional is better than none! Just wash it or peel it to minimize your exposure to pesticides.
The easiest and best way to get get a lot of greens is with juices, Cold Pressed Juices, where there is no heat in the juicing process that destroys the enzymes and also it gives you a higher value of nutrient.
Have a good one,
Ciao!
